In the Shiva Mahapurana, Part One, Vidyeshwar Samhita, Chapter 25, Verse 77, Lord Shankar tells Mother Bhavani Gauri: "O Parameshwari! The Eleven-Mukhi Rudraksha is verily the form of Rudra Himself. By wearing this Rudraksha, a person attains victory everywhere."

Similarly, in the Devi Bhagavata Mahapurana, Second Canto, Eleventh Skandha, Chapter Four, Verses 24–25, it is mentioned: "The Eleven-Mukhi Rudraksha is the embodiment of the Ekadash Rudras. Whoever wears it on the crown of the head (shikha) receives the same merit as that obtained by performing thousands of Ashwamedha Yajnas, Vajapeya Yajnas, and by offering thousands of cows in charity in the proper manner."
