Twelve Mukhi Rudraksha: The Blessing of the Twelve Adityas
In the Shiva Mahapurana, Part One, Vidyeshwar Samhita, Chapter 25, Verse 78, it is mentioned: "When a Twelve Mukhi Rudraksha is worn on the crown (head region), the twelve Adityas (Sun Gods) themselves reside upon the head of the wearer."
Similarly, in the Shrimad Devi Bhagavat Mahapurana, Part Two, Eleventh Skandha, Chapter Four, Verses 26–30, it is said: "By wearing the Twelve Mukhi Rudraksha, the twelve Adityas become pleased, as they dwell upon the twelve openings of this Rudraksha. The merit obtained from performing the grand Ashwamedha Yajna is attained merely by wearing this Rudraksha. The wearer is freed from the fear of ferocious animals, weapon-bearing enemies, diseases, fear, and mental afflictions. Moreover, he is also absolved from the sins arising from the killing of elephants, horses, deer, cats, serpents, mice, frogs, gandharvas, dogs, jackals, and many other beings."
